A scalable multi-agent paradigm is presented for control of distributed energy resources to achieve higher reliability, higher power quality, and more efficient (optimum) power generation and consumption A dynamic hybrid multi-agent system is proposed in this paper as a means to achieve scalability for control of a large network of power generation, transmission, load, and compensation sources. Example ancillary agents are developed for system stability and harmonic and reactive current compensation.
